Midlothian Physiotherapy Clinic Eskbank near Edinburgh

Who we are

Midlothian Physiotherapy LLP was established by 3 partners Paul BryceKevin Dewar and Alistair Matson. Before setting up the clinic we all worked together at Murrayfield Hospital in Edinburgh. Prior to working at Murrayfield we each gained experience in varied fields in both the NHS and the private sector. Between the three of us, we have worked in musculoskeletal outpatients, accident and emergency, orthopaedics, elderly care, domicillary physio, pain management, occupational health, paediatrics at the Sick Kids in Edinburgh, professional football and pilates.
All of our clinicians have at least 15 years of clinical experience and we have a wealth of experience treating everything from neck and back pain to sprained ankles. We have all worked in and around the Edinburgh area for the last 10 years or more, so we have a good working relationship with the local Consultant’s and we are fully aware of their post operative guidelines following surgery.

Therefore whatever the problem you have is, we will have probably seen similar complaints and conditions before. If your condition does not respond or is unlikely to respond to physiotherapy, then we are in a position to successfully liaise with your GP and/or your consultant to expedite your successful management.
All of our clinicians are Chartered Physiotherapists and are registered with the HCPC. Therefore you can be assured that we adhere to the standards and guidance laid down by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and the Health Care Professions Council.

After working together as part of the physio team at BUPA Murrayfield we decided to set up the clinic in Eskbank, just outside Edinburgh in 2008. Our aim was to offer high quality, cost effective and clinically effective physiotherapy to both individuals and organisations.
Since then the clinic has gone from strength to strength with additional administrative and clinical staff joining the team. However the aim still remains the same. To offer an excellent standard of clinical care that is easily accessible, that you can self refer to, has no waiting list and can be accessed at a time that is convenient to you.

Our services can be accessed via our purpose built clinic in Eskbank or alternatively we run on-site clinics for two of our Occupational Health clients. We are open Monday to Friday with appointments being available from 8am to 8pm.

What we do

We provide Physiotherapy for those who choose to pay for their treatment themselves. If that’s you then our price list is here. If you are paying for your treatment yourself you can self refer, there is no need to see you GP first.

Alternatively if you want to use health insurance we are registered with BUPA and AXA, please contact them before you attend the clinic. At your first appointment we will ask you for your claim and membership numbers, as well as details regarding your excess. If you have health insurance with a different provider, please contact them as it may possible to claim the cost of your treatment from them.

In addition to offering physiotherapy we supply a range of related Occupational Health and Health & Safety services. These include DSE assessments, workplace assessments, Manual Handling training and First Aid training.
Our purpose built clinic is in Eskbank just outside Edinburgh, there are good public transport and road links serving the surrounding area including Edinburgh, Penicuik and Dalkeith.
We provide our Occupational Health and Health & Safety services throughout Scotland and Northern England.
