Midlothian Physiotherapy LLP is based in Eskbank just seven and a half miles from the centre of Edinburgh. We are next door to the
Edinburgh College campus in Eskbank and
Eskbank Railway station. We have appointments available from 8 am to 8 pm during the week and can often see you that day or within a few days at the latest. If you are paying yourself you can simply self refer and contact us to make an appointment, you don’t need to have seen your GP first.If you want to use health insurance, we are registered with BUPA and AXA; please contact them before you attend the clinic. At your first appointment we will ask you for your claim and membership numbers, as well as details regarding your excess. If you have health insurance with a different provider, please contact them as it may possible to claim the cost of your treatment from them.
Patients under the age of 18
Patients under the age of 18 MUST be attended by a parent or guardian. It must stressed that we cannot assess or treat patients under the age of 18, unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult.

Cancellation Policy
Midlothian Physiotherapy LLP reserves the right to charge for late cancellations. Patients will be charged £25 in the instance of appointments being cancelled within 24 hours; and in the instance of failing to attend appointments.
I have private medical insurance, can I use this for my physiotherapy treatment?
If you want to use health insurance we are registered with BUPA and AXA, please contact them before you attend the clinic. You should discuss attending physiotherapy with your insurer prior to your first appointment to ensure that your treatment will be reimbursed and the correct referral pathway is followed.

How to find us
Our clinic is in Eskbank just next to the Edinburgh College Campus and Eskbank Railway station. You can walk to the clinic from the bus stop at the Dalkeith branch of Tesco by following the footpath to the college over the railway station footbridge. It takes approx 10-15 minutes to walk to the clinic from Tesco and approx 5-10 minutes from the platform of Eskbank railway station.
From Edinburgh
The clinic is 7.5 miles from the center of Edinburgh, if you are driving then please see the
map on the home page. If you are coming by public transport you can come by either rail or by bus.
By Rail
The train runs from Waverly via Brunstane, Newcraighall and Shawfair arriving at Eskbank. According to the timetable journey time should be just under 20 minutes. More information can be found at the
Borders Runway website. From the platform follow the path to the college and turn left and walk along Dalhousie Road until you reach Hardendeen Business Park. The clinic is in one of the offices in the low office buildings at the front of the business park. This should take approx 5-10 minutes.
By Bus
The number 29 bus from Silverknowes, the number 49 bus from The Jewel and the number 40 bus from Portobello all stop at the Tesco Hardengreen bus stop. From the bus stop follow the footpath to Eskbank railway station and then the directions above to the clinic. This should take approx 10-15 minutes.
From Penicuik
The clinic is just under 9 miles from Penicuik, if you are driving then please see the
map on the home page. If you are coming by public transport you can come by bus, the number 40 bus stops at the Hardengreen Tesco Bus stop.
From Gorebridge, Newtongrange and Mayfield
The clinic is around 4 miles from Gorebridge, 2 miles from Newtongrange and 3 miles form Mayfield.If you are driving then please see the
map on the home page. If you are coming by public transport, from Gorebridge and Newtongrange you can come on the number 39 bus or the number 29, From Mayfield you can come on the number 29 bus,
